This year, I had the opportunity to attend the Veeam V100 Summit in Prague for the first time.

The Veeam 100 Summit is an exclusive annual event for the closest members of the Veeam community, including Veeam Vanguards, MVPs, Legends, and User Group Leaders, and I am thrilled to be part of it this year.
The Summit offers a mix of technical sessions, workshops, product updates, and networking opportunities. We get direct access to Veeam product managers and developers, can ask questions, give feedback, and gain insights into upcoming products and features.
It is the flagship event for the closest Veeam community and offers a unique platform for knowledge transfer, networking, and direct contact with Veeam.
As this was my first time attending, I was naturally excited to see what awaited me and how it would be. Thankfully, I already knew some of the participants from various events such as Veeam ON, V100, and Vanguard Calls…
The German V100 members were very well represented. We all know each other quite well and have even worked together in some cases.
My trip started on Sunday, November 2, with my arrival in Prague.
When I arrived at the Hilton Old Town Hotel in Prague, I immediately saw some familiar faces and we went out for dinner and drinks together in Prague that evening in small groups.

On Monday afternoon, we received our badges and SWAG, and then we had a Sure Backup Deep Dive workshop.
During the day, all the other participants arrived and we all met at the welcome reception.

Tuesday began with a general information session held by the community organizers and sponsors (Wasabi and Object First. Thank you to the sponsors and community organizers). On Tuesday and Wednesday, there were many sessions on current topics related to Veeam, but we are not yet allowed to say or share much, if anything, about them (yellow and red content).
A truly emotional moment was the speech and presentation of the Brad Jervis Memorial Award on Tuesday during the Special Moments/Dalrymple Toast given by Jim Jones and Rick. Brad Jervis was also a member of the V100 program and sadly passed away far too young in February this year.
My absolute highlight session was the AMA (Ask Me Anything Session). The Ask Me Anything Session is an open Q&A session where V100 members can ask their questions directly to the Veeam product management and leadership team. The goal is to discuss both technical and strategic questions about Veeam products, roadmaps, best practices, and current challenges in a transparent and unfiltered setting. (And yes, there was also a question about beer—it was an AMA session)
Since it was my birthday on the last day, I was presented with a beautifully performed birthday greeting and a cake. Thank you all again!

The event ended with the V100 Summit Celebration at Pilsner Urquell. After the closing party, we moved on and let the evening come to a perfect end. It was the perfect combination of a closing party and birthday celebration.

On Thursday, it was time to get back home and time to say good bye. The days flew by.
Attending the summit for the first time was a great experience for me. I was very well received by the other participants, I was able to connect with Veeam colleagues from all areas, and whether it was small talk or deep talk, every conversation was valuable.
I would like to thank the Veeam organizers for the great organization of the event; without you, this would not have been possible. Hopefully, I will be able to attend many more summits!
